My Favorite Keto Supplements

Firstly, if you haven’t seen my video on keto (what it is and how I do it), check it out here! 

​I wanted to share some of the supplements I’ve been using or recommend on the keto lifestyle. Please note these are just supplements or an aid to what you are already doing. You should still aim to get most of your nutrients and daily needs from food directly.

Electrolytes
Electrolytes are very important on the keto diet, especially when transitioning into ketosis to limit adverse effects. This includes sodium, potassium and magnesium. You can definitely get your recommended does through salt, veggies and other foods. But you can also take a supplement to assist in this.

I recommended adding Himalayan pink salt (for sodium) and no salt (for potassium) to your foods or even to your water. You can add 1 tsp of each to 2 liters of water to aid you throughout the day. This can help with sluggishness, headaches and keto flu like symptoms.

You can also try a pre-made electrolyte powder. This one by Dr. Eric Beg is highly popular.

MCT Oil
MCT Oil/Coconut Oil/ETC are all forms of healthy fats that you can quickly take to assist with the keto lifestyle. It’s an easy and quick way to get some healthy fats in and get a boost of energy. These oils are known to boost metabolism and kick start your body into fat burning mode.

​This would be helpful throughout the day or during a workout. You can take a tbsp. of MCT oil before a workout or add to a smoothie, for example.

Powdered Greens
In order to feel good, fight disease and live a healthy lifestyle. It’s recommended to eat 7-10 cups of vegetables a day. This may not always be achieved on a day to day basis. You can take a greens powder supplement to assist in reaching your daily need or just to add to what you’re already eating for better results. Below are some great ones I recommend or have took in the past.

These are just some of the few supplements that can assist in your keto lifestyle. I don’t recommend taking too many supplements and working to get most of your nutrients from real sources.  If you would like to know some more tips or tricks while doing keto, please let me know!
