How to Lose the Thanksgiving Weight – My TIPS & TRICKS

​Hi my loves! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Family, food and great company - everything I love in one place. Many people enjoy Thanksgiving, but no do not enjoy the overnight weight gain and bloatedness that sometimes comes the next day. I will go over my tips and tricks to combat some of that fluff and get yourself going on the right track.

​Detox tea!

​I’m not a diehard advocate for detox tea. I think using them from time to time can be beneficial but too often it can be overkill or just gimmicky.
I will be drinking detox tea every morning just to flush out some that initial water weight, to limit bloating and to jump start the day with a rush vitamins and antioxidants.

Vitamins & Antioxidants

I will make sure I’m on top my vitamin and antioxidant intake. Since I will be flushing out my body of the unneeded gunk from my system, I also want to make sure I’m replenishing my body with tons nutrients and healthy bacteria in my system. Every day I will start my morning with a multivitamin, probiotic and a healthy protein smoothie supplemented with a green superfood powder.

CARDIO! 

​I’m all about resistance training and lifting weights, and highly believe resistance training should be your main focus when trying to get healthy. Nonetheless, Cardio is a really great and easy way to ignite fat loss and release toxins from the body.  Along with lifting weights five times a week, I will make sure to do some sort cardio for at least 30 minutes 5 days out of the week. This will speed up the rate of fat loss and get a really good sweat going.

Increase Water Intake & Eat Something Green!

​After the holidays, it’s really important to stay on top of your water intake to keep your system clean and free of toxins. After thanksgiving, I will be increasing my daily water intake and flushing my body out. As far as eating goes, don’t be so hard on yourself! Just make the better choice and add as much greens in your diet as possible.
